Perhaps like writing an academic essay is an exercise in comprehension, writing a personal journal entry is an exercise in gratitude. My fondest memories of blogging center around that very thing – it’s an activity that prompts reflection and acknowledgement of what one might otherwise overlook in daily life. The extreme pendulum swing to the side of petty obsessions is what turned me off the web journal world, however. It fast generates inflation in the economy of words.

But I’ve since mused how ironic it is that now when I actually have a lot more worth publicly journaling, I let my digital press lie fallow. It’s about time it actually started producing again.

I’m now a wife, mother, writer/producer, and full time middle and high school history teacher.

Let’s see what happens.
